Online Research Grant Writing Training for Early and Mid-Career Researchers in Africa (PORTUGUESE)

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training the participants will learn to:

·       Write a successful proposal that addresses a research question that is in the participant’s area of expertise and that they want to answer.

·       Understand how to structure and write the proposal, including literature review, methodology, methods including analysis plans and impact plans.

·       Understand the process of developing a research proposal including identifying funding sources; Tailoring a proposal to funding sources; drawing on expertise; and developing a budget, management plan, and dissemination strategy.

·       Seek and receive critique of research ideas and plans and integrate feedback into a proposal.

·       Successfully work to a submission deadline.

 

Who Should Take This Course?

This course is primarily designed to equip early-career researchers with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully secure research funding, from identifying opportunities to managing awarded grants. However, other individuals dealing with grants management (Grants Officers/managers, financial managers, the project officials, managers of donor funded projects) can also take it.
